Below is a directory of some of the groups that use the Friends’ Meeting House. Each entry describes their activities and provide links to their organisations. We are a community choir welcoming all who like to sing for the fun and enjoyment of doing so. The benefits of singing together in a group are well documented. We meet in Bakewell at the Friends’ Meeting House, Wednesday evenings from 1900h to 2100h.
View moreBakewell Bridge Club is based at the Medway Centre. It holds friendly bridge games every Tuesday evening where everyone is welcome. These games are hosted so you don’t need to bring a partner. And there is a beginner’s course starting in October.
View moreChatsworth Players was started 15 years ago to bring local village groups together to perform at the Theatre at Chatsworth House. The group is now a mix of amateurs and former professionals who produce a varied repertoire of plays performed to a very high standard. All are welcome.
