On Saturday, May 18th the Bakewell Asylum Seekers and Refugees Network met for coffee and updates at Friends Meeting House. The group that is concerned about the many difficulties experienced by asylum seekers and refugees in the UK. Those attending brought gifts of everyday essentials, such as toiletries and stationary, which will be taken to the Upbeat Community charity in Derby for inclusion in Welcome Packs for refugees who are newly arrived in the city.
